As a leader in biophilic design—the practice of strengthening people's connection to nature to reduce stress and enhance well-being—the company's mission is to help clients "create great spaces" by moving beyond simple decoration toward what they call "performance biophilia." For The Juniper & The Reserve at Juniper, that meant delivering refined, large-scale living elements that reinforce the community's identity as a wellness-focused residential destination.
The scope of the project matched its ambition. The Plant Peddler worked throughout the two apartment towers, which are connected by an outdoor terrace, integrating biophilic design across approximately 30 floors of shared amenity spaces and residential common areas. Serving as the interior plant design consultant alongside a partner design firm, the team carefully balanced the architect's aesthetic vision with the long-term health and sustainability of the plant material. The objective was to use large-scale specimen plants to soften the buildings' modern architectural lines while enhancing lounges, gathering spaces, and other wellness-oriented amenities.

The second was environmental. Although the buildings feature expansive windows, heavily tinted glass significantly reduced available natural light, placing many plants on what the team described as a "restricted calorie diet" of usable light. The solution required carefully selecting resilient, lower-light species capable of thriving while still achieving the desired design aesthetic.
By solving both the structural and environmental challenges, The Plant Peddler delivered more than beautiful greenery—they helped create welcoming, wellness-centered spaces that make The Juniper & The Reserve at Juniper feel connected to nature. The project demonstrates how thoughtful planning and technical expertise can transform even the most complex installation challenges into an integral part of the resident experience.
